Vulgar Messages to Rana Ayyub, UAE Company Terminate Indian Employee

This may be shocking news to you, but this is the reality. A paint company in Dubai terminate an Indian employee from Kerala for sending vulgar message. The company deport him for abusing Rana Ayyub on social media and sending her offensive messages.

According to the gulf News, this incident came to light after Rana Ayyub, a well-known investigative journalist and Author of “Gujarat Files” exposed the vulgar messages on Twitter. some of her followers take the quick action and reported this matter to the management of the UAE company where the Indian employee worked.

Indian man who is in his early 31, identifies as Bincylal Balachandran (B.B.) from Kerala. He join Alpha Paint in Dubai, a sister company of National Paints in Sharjah in 2015 and work as a customer service employee.

Complaint:

According to company HR, Shadi Al Refai, human resource manager receive the complaint. He got email on April 7 from a man saying that one of the staff members abused a woman on social media. The email includes a copy of the abusive message sent by the Bincy Lal to Rana Ayyub.

“We verified the information by matching his details mention on the social media and check the name of the man. On April 8, at 8 am early morning the termination order of (B.B.) was issued,” Company HR said to Gulf News.

Hence, the Company Management summoned Bincy Lal who admit to sending the abusive messages and promised not to repeat his action. Then company management goes through his wall and found many abusive posts against Islam.

“When we check on his Facebook account. We found the abusive message in the chat window. Those messages were sent to Rana Ayyub,” Management informs.

Cyber crime law:

Under the UAE Cyber crime law, it is a crime of misuse of a computer or smart device. If found guilty, a lengthy jail term and/or a fine as big as Dh3 million.

Though the company said that we have terminated his contract. And we will be paying for his tickets as her his rights according to the UAE labour law. On Monday, he was terminated from company. His visa was cancelled and we will deport him.

On hearing the news about the termination of the man, Rana Ayyub, share her happiness and tweet on this:

Ayyub also said to Gulf News, “I am planning to file an FIR [first Information Report] in Delhi tomorrow,”.
