Former Tata Group Chairman Cyrus Mistry dies in car crash Near Mumbai

Cyrus Mistry was going to Mumbai from Ahmedabad in a Mercedes car. According to the police, the car had four people, out of which two people including Cyrus Mistry dies and other two have survived.

This is very tragic new and update that the former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry is not longer with us. Cyrus Mistry dies in a road accident after his car hit a divider in Maharashtra’s Palghar district, inform by the police.

The Mercedes-Benz struck with a divider on a bridge near Charoti at about 3:15 p.m., according to the police.

There were four persons in the car, and two of them, including Mistry, passed away immediately.

 

Jahangir Binshah Pandole is the other person who died on spot. The injured people names are managing director and CEO of JM Financial Private Equity Darius Pandole and senior physician Anahita Pandole of Breach Candy Hospital, have been taken to a hospital.

Mistry was travelling from Mumbai to Ahmedabad. Balasaheb Patil, the superintendent of police (SP) in Palghar, claims that Anahita Pandole was driving the vehicle when the collision occurred.

“The car’s driver was Anahita Pandole. Prima Facie, it seems that she was driving too fast and lost control of the wheel. We are looking into it, SP Balasaheb Patil said to Indian Express in a report.

Now, the two boys and wife of Mistry are in the family of Former Tata Group Chairman Cyrus Mistry. According to one of his close family friends, Mistry’s family members were abroad for an event.

Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, expressed astonishment after hearing that Cyrus Mistry dies in car accident.

He said that Cyrus Mistry “was not only a successful entrepreneur but a youthful and future-oriented guy too.”

Former Tata Group Chairman Cyrus Mistry, a skilled industrialist has left us in deep sorrow.

 

His passing hurts not just the Mistry family but also India’s manufacturing industry. My sincere sympathies on his passing.

Those who has injuries are being sent to Rainbow Hospital in Vapi, Gujarat, while the dead bodies two people are being kept at Kasa in the Palghar district.

Mr. Cyrus Mistry  was the sixth chairman of Tata Sons. He hold the Chairman position in 2012 and retire from his position on October 2016.

Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, said he was “shocked and very saddened” to hear that Cyrus Mistry, the former chairman of Tata Sons, had died in a tragic accident close to Palghar.

The former Tata Group chairman, Cyrus Mistry’s father, Pallonji Mistry. Who has already passed away on June 28 2022, at the age of 93.
