What is Ayushman Bharat health scheme?

The Ayushman Bharat is a world’s largest health care scheme that aims to provide health facilities to healthcare services to 50 crore beneficiaries, people from 445 districts. These facilities also aim to provide health insurance to 10 crore families or 50 crore Indians. All the registered users will get around 5 lakh cover per year as per this scheme. Roughly 8 crore people in rural and 2 crore people in the urban areas will get benefits.

This scheme is mainly for poor people, for those who have lack of basic health facilities.

There are 1354 packages in this scheme which includes following facilities:
#Treatment for the coronary bypass.
#Knee replacements.
#Stenting.

This scheme is launched from Ranchi’s Prabhat Tara Maidan.

Health minister JP Nadda, Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das & other ministers were also present at that moment.

Ayushman Bharat health scheme Categories & Requirements

There are six categories, mainly D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, and D7. For urban areas, they add a total of 11 occupational criteria.

No need for adhar card to avail this scheme. Some one only need to show the identity proof to get the services. Ration card & Voter ID card can be using for identity purpose.

However, if someone is hospitalized then, the beneficiary doesn’t need to pay anything under this scheme. Though concerned person need to show the above-mentioned valid ID proof.

Hospitals which are enroll under this scheme will have separate desk with the name “Ayushman Mitra help desk.” Where a candidate will check the eligibility of the concerned person.

Though there is official website “mera.pmjay.gov.in” and a helpline number 14555. So far more than 16,000+ applications for hospitals have been received and public and private, total of 8,750 hospitals have been enrolled as well.

Indian Prim Minister Mr. Narendra Modi inform that this scheme is a forward step to serve the poor people of the nation. However, some people call this scheme as Modicare. PM Narendra Modi also inform that I want that poor people also get health facilities like rich people. If poor people go to hospital then there will be Ayushman Bharat health scheme to assist them with full facilities.
