Himanshu Hooda, 23, is one such outstanding young man who has realized his aim of being admitted to the top engineering institution. Himanshu’s incredible accomplishments were revealed when he passed the very tough Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) test.
Hooda finished with an All-India Rank of 205. Based on his scores, he was also offered M.Tech programes at IIT Bombay and IISc Bangalore.
Himanshu Hooda’s Family Background:
This 23-year-old Haryana native is the son of a poor tea vendor who overcame many obstacles and financial challenges to see his kid graduate from one of India’s premier universities. Om Prakash Hooda, his father, borrowed Rs 15 lakh to guarantee that his son succeeds in his chosen field. Himanshu worked at his father’s tea shop on the Rohtak-Sonipat route in Sector 3 in addition to studying for GATE. In 1990, his family relocated from the district village of Mungan to Rohtak.
Himanshu Hooda’s Academic Career
Himanshu, a good student from the start, finished his Bachelor of Technology at YMCA Faridabad in 2022. He face several challenges in his academic career despite, earning 90% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics during his senior year of secondary school at Mahendra Model School.
However, He set his sights on the advanced Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) after finishing his 10th and 12th grades. He was, however, unsuccessful.
Himanshu Hooda’s Financial Difficulties
Himanshu’s father, a modest tea trader, struggled financially to provide a good education for his son. Om Prakash took out a Rs 15 lakh loan to pay for his son’s schooling, and the family lived on rent in a housing authority community. Om Prakash, who is overjoyed with his son’s accomplishment, says he has no regrets in life because Himanshu has finally accomplished his longtime desire.
He even remembered Himanshu writing IIT Bombay on the walls of his house during his preparations to remind himself how important IIT-B is to him.
Himanshu Hooda reflected on his path thus far, saying that even during his school and college years, he always supported his family in whatever way he could.
